The Story Behind Sävvi
Some visions need time to fully take root
Long before they bloomed in the fields of Hillcrest Farm, peonies were already deeply rooted in Jennifer Brodeur’s world.
Peoni, where it all began
In 2016, Peoni was born, the first skincare collection by JB Skin Sävvi, inspired by the soothing properties of white peony root extract.
From the very beginning, the intention was clear: to create skincare formulated to gently support the skin, without ever disrupting it. Thoughtful formulas designed to respect its natural balance and respond to its needs with care and precision.
A vision that continues to grow
Over the years, this vision became more defined. Lumi, Harmoni and C.A.R.E. joined Peoni, each developed with the same commitment to creating thoughtful skincare that respects the skin and its genuine needs.
Behind this approach are more than 30 years of experience, observation and knowledge. Jennifer Brodeur’s expertise has led her for years to work with an international clientele, including Oprah Winfrey, who gave her the nickname JB Skin Guru.
Sharing knowledge also plays an essential role in Jennifer’s work. Through Vaola, her educational platform, she shares the knowledge acquired throughout her career to make skin easier to understand and skincare choices more informed.
Where it all comes together
Then came the idea of a place where everything could finally come together: nature, living systems, the rhythm of the seasons, and the desire to return to something more essential.
And so Hillcrest Farm was born in Knowlton, in Quebec’s Eastern Townships.
Ten years after Peoni was born, peonies now bloom at the very heart of the landscape that continues to inspire JB Skin Sävvi.
